Curriculum

In addition to our monthly group curriculum, our school provides individual and small group teachings on a daily basis.

Practical Life

Activities include many tasks children see as part of their daily routine in their home. Practical Life activities develop muscular coordination, provides exploration of their surroundings, and develops their power of control and concentration.

Sensorial Materials

Children build cognitive skills, and learn to order and classify impressions by touching, seeing, smelling, tasting, listening, and exploring the physical properties of their environment.

Cultural Studies

Our children are currently learning about the 7 continents, 50 states, and several songs from around the world.

Foreign Language

Every Wednesday, our Primary Class has a special Chinese language lesson.

Language Development

The Montessori environment is rich in oral language opportunities. Students experience language through conversation, stories, and poetry. The sandpaper letters help the children link sound and symbol effortlessly, encouraging the development of written expression and reading skills. To further reading development, children are exposed to the study of grammar.

Mathematics

Our specially designed activities help children learn and understand the concept of math by manipulating  concrete materials. This work gives children a solid understanding of basic mathematical principals, prepares them for later abstract reasoning, and helps to develop problem-solving capabilities.

Geography, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Art, and Music

Our comprehensive program includes learning all 50 States of America, the 7 Continents, 3 Oceans, different Cultures around the World, awareness and respect for our Global Environment, and knowledge of our Solar System. Children learn both the facts of Science, and also experience biology through Science Experiments and other hands-on activities. Our special arts and crafts instructor provides children with many different art projects using clay, paint, and other creative materials. Our music program includes Musical Performances throughout the year for family and friends through singing, playing instruments, dance, and also learning about the great musicians in the past.
